Well, him and fatty are supposed to be the comic relief characters to ease the mood, especially since in the last episodes plot got painfully depressing. I do appreciate some comedy every now and then, but yeah I kinda liked Oscar's more mature vibe in the previous episodes when he just came back to Tian Dou City after training alone. I guess it will be hard to expect him to change 180 degree that easily anyway. Especially since he didn't even go through half of the gloomy and hard shit Tang San went through.
